About Me.
Rule of thumb for UX: More options, more problems.
A little bit about myself…
Hi I'm Alicia! I graduated in 2022 from the Digital Design and Development program at BCIT. My first industry role was at TELUS Digital. I had the pleasure to design countless campaigns from 2022-2026! Throughout my experiences in school and in the industry, I have been a part of designing and developing (mostly designing!!) websites and mobile applications using Figma, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I’ve have learned so much in my time with TELUS and I’m excited to continue to learn and grow in my next role.

If you can’t find me at my computer….
If you can't find me at my computer, I'm probably hanging out with my bestie, Mia. She is my 9 year old frenchie and my best friend. We enjoy going on walks, eating and sleeping together (yes she snores VERY LOUD!). Our 5-9 after out 9-5 consists of running a little dog bakery for fun (Mia is the CEO, inspector, and my boss). We make doggy cakes, cupcakes, BARK-euterie boards and cookies. Thanks for reading!
Research.
The first step in any good final product is good, credible research. Completing the endless amounts of user tests lead me to realize the importance of user research prior to designing, prototyping, and developing.
Prototype.
Prototyping is one of my favourite parts of the design process. Enrolling in BCIT gave me the opportunity to enhance and perfect my prototyping skills. My go-to tool is Figma as it allows others to freely collaborate with others.
Design.
I am continuously learning new ways to enhance my UX/UI design skills. I believe exceptional usability and accessibility for all users should always be a top priority and incorporated in every mobile or web app.
